Since updating my Series 7 watch, I am unable to swipe left or right to access other saved watch faces. Anyone else experience the same problem and/or know how to resolve?
thanks!

If you updated to WatchOS 10.2, open settings app on your watch (not your iPhone) and look for Clock. Tap Clock and turn on swipe to switch watch faces.

They just made a change. To change the watch faces just touch and hold in middle of watch face and it will shift to the mode of changing watch faces and you can slide left and right to your different saved watch faces.
Another change is the up swipe for the control panel has been changed to a press of the lower side button!

Am experiencing the same issue since updating my Apple Watch 7 to 10.0 and then 10.0.1. The watch faces gallery has stopped loading on the Apple Watch iPhone app and if I try to set a watch face from the ones added to My Faces, nothing happens when I tap ‘set as current watch face’. The iPhone is running iOS 17.0.1. Noticed significant battery drain in the Apple Watch too since updating to 10.0 & 10.0.1.
Have tried switching on and off airplane mode, un-paired and paired the Apple Watch with iPhone, and eventually unpaired and paired as a new Apple Watch but the problem still persist.
Is there any other quick fix available that I may try?

That method quit working for me after recent update to watch iOS. Could not swipe left or right after pressing center. But after I powered off the watch, it started working again.
I wish Apple would go back to a simple swipe to change watch face. I change the face multiple times a day and it’s a pain now.

Can we please change back to just swipe left or right to switch multiple faces?? This hold and swipe is just an extra totally unnecessary step!!

I'm experiencing the same thing. Although three are selected on iPhone Watch App, only one face loads onto the watch. I normally switch between a workout face and a simple analog face by swiping the watch face left or right. Apparently this feature has been disabled in WatchOS 10.

WatchOS 10.2 is out and the swipe to change the watch face is now an option to toggle on and off.
Go to Settings>Clock.

Swiping faces without the extra step is now an option with the recent update to watchOS 10.
The option has been posted several times in this thread; on the watch Settings>Clock>Swipe to switch...

It’s so annoying that you updated to be better and you can’t use your screens like usual 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼. Please revise this and put it like it was before .
There is no “You” here. This is a user-to-user technical support forum. Apple is not here, and the volunteers that answer questions did not make these UI changes.
However, you can send feedback to Apple, and if enough users send feedback, it will eventually reach a decision maker, and them maybe desired changes will happen

Please bring back the old method of a simple swipe. I constantly switch watch faces based on activity and need. This new method is terrible.

This update is awful. Thanks for pointing out how to change watch face. I also have an jssue with swioing UP to find things like flashligbt, battery power. All I see are Tips! And I cant even read the tips as the font is so bad. Why does Apple have to fix what isn not broken!?!
Apple is not here. This is a user-to-user technical support forum.
But you can send Apple feedback via:

If enough users send feedback, it is more likely a decision maker will see it, and maybe take action.
And to get the Control Center you press this button (see picture)
DO NOT hold the button, as that brings up Emergency services
Settings -> Accessibility -> Side Button Click Speed“Side Button Click Speed” can adjust the press and release timing, so you get the Control Center display every time. Adjusting The "Side Button Click Speed" is also useful for Apple Pay’s double press and release. There is “Default” (sub second timing of needed), “Slow” (up to a second between press and release), and “Slowest” (up to 2 seconds between press and release). I like the “Slow” setting.NOTE: Slow and Slowest settings do not mean you have to wait a full second or 2 seconds between press and release. It just means you do not need to be super fast.

I too had the same problem! In order to be able to swipe to change watch faces you must press the center of your watch to activate. The face will become smaller, then just swipe right or left to get to the face that you want. Then press the center of your watch again to set the desired watch face in place.
Then you haven't updated your watch to WatchOS 10.2. If you had, you open the Settings app on your Watch (not your iPhone), and find the Clock app, which when you tap it, you'll see Swipe to Change Watch faces.

Yes, that feature was added in Monday's release of watchOS 10.2.
