For over 30 years, Brandsmart USA has been dedicated to bringing discounted prices on major brand name merchandise to consumers across the Southeastern United States. Headquartered in Miami, Florida, we operate 16 large format retail stores in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. Our extensive product selection, competitive warehouse pricing, exceptional customer service and wide ranging community support programs have enabled us to grow into one of the region’s most trusted retailers.

Our History

The first Brandsmart USA store opened its doors in Miami, Florida in December 1989. Founded by entrepreneur Rick Cohen, Brandsmart U.S.A. was envisioned as a members-only warehouse club concept offering discounted prices on major electronics and appliance brands. The warehouse format, no-frills shopping experience and bulk packaging closely followed other discount retailers launching at that time. However, Rick sought to differentiate his new retail venture by focusing product assortment on higher ticket consumer electronics, computers, small appliances and home goods rather than the food and consumables found at most warehouse clubs.

Brandsmart U.S.A. grew rapidly in Miami and South Florida throughout the 1990s by offering 40-60% savings off suggested retail prices. The economic recession in 2001 led many value retailers to struggle, but Brandsmart capitalized on strong vendor relationships and lean operations to not only survive the downturn but position itself for expansion in the years that followed.

The early and mid 2000s were marked by significant milestones:

  • 2002 – Launched the first Brandsmart U.S.A. store outside of South Florida in Orlando, FL
  • 2005 – Opened 3 new store locations
  • 2007 – Expanded with 5 additional stores in Florida
  • 2008 – Surpassed $1 billion in annual sales
  • 2009 – Become the #1 volume electronics retailer in the state of Florida

Fueled by growing brand recognition and loyal customers responding to the recession economy, Brandsmart reached over $2 billion in sales by 2014. The company dropped the “members only” warehouse model to allow all shoppers to benefit from discounted offerings. An intense focus on analytical insights, customer feedback and process improvement set the foundation for strong growth.

In recent years, Brandsmart has sought to recreate the brick-and-mortar model for modern consumers. Stores feature expanded online order pick up capabilities, virtual reality experiences and showcase innovation through travel centers for new technology releases. A 2021 rebrand reinforced the retailer’s mission to continually disrupt itself to better serve its customers.

Our Stores

Brandsmart U.S.A. operates 16 large format stores averaging 100,000 – 150,000 square feet in size. Our retail stores are located in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Vero Beach, Melbourne, Orlando, Tampa, Pensacola and Jacksonville, FL as well as Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL.

Upon entering a Brandsmart U.S.A. location, customers experience bright open showrooms with clearly marked departments and wide aisles. Our stores employ knowledgeable sales teams offering world class customer service and product recommendations. Shoppers also enjoy no hassle return and exchange processes to remove purchase risk when trying new items.

Because navigation is important in larger warehouses, Brandsmart stores feature ample signage with hanging category banners and aisle flags from the rafters. Many locations also have floor directional signals showing visitors where to find key departments.

Electronics Showcase: Find all the top brands in televisions from budget HD models to the newest 8K QLED smart TVs over 85”. Experience display TVs and home theater audio firsthand. Also shop computers, tablets, gaming systems, VR gear, drones, wearables, headphones and more. Brandsmart is an authorized premium retailer of Apple products.

Connected Home: Control your smart home devices and appliances through voice assistants, apps or remote. Shop the latest in home automation technology like smart locks, video doorbells, security systems, lighting, thermostats, robot vacuums and small kitchen appliances that can be accessed remotely. We carry leading brands like Ring, Shark, iRobot, Nest, ecobee and Instant Pot.

Appliances: Find refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, clothes dryers, vacuums, cooking ranges, microwave ovens, wine coolers and more from every major brand including Samsung, LG, GE, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Bosch and Z-Line. Shoppers can comparison shop based on size, configuration, color, connectivity and features all in one place.

Furniture: Sit, stretch and relax on living room sets, dining sets, bedroom collections, office furniture and outdoor living pieces from Ashley Furniture, Jackson Furniture and our affordable American Freight brand imports while visualizing how the pieces might look in your home.

Mattresses: Try out mattresses like the ones you sleep on at home from all the top brands such as Serta, Sealy, Stearns & Foster, Tempur-Pedic and Purple at our in-store mattress specialists and take them home today. We carry all sizes including hard to find California King and split box spring options. Choose from innerspring, foam, latex, hybrid and adjustable base foundations to suit your sleep style.

Flooring: View stunning collections of carpet, hardwood, laminate, tile and artificial grass at our flooring shops. Many styles can be installed next day by our certified flooring experts. Shop top names brands like Shaw Floors and Mohawk Flooring.

Major Appliance Delivery: All major appliance purchases can be dropped off within your local delivery area or installed by appointment. Our delivery teams will haul away and recycle old appliances upon request. Extended protection plans and financing offers provide affordable ways to pay over time.

Bonus Value Center: Deeply discounted overstock appliances, mattresses, furniture and flooring offer limited quantities of huge bargains on open box items, returns, discontinued models and more. The penny floor allows customers to fill a whole cart for only a penny! First come, first served offers like these move extremely quickly.
