Use Camera Remote and timer on Apple Watch (2024)

You can position your iPhone for a photo—or a video, with watchOS10—then use your AppleWatch to take the photo or video from a distance. By default, there’s a three-second delay before the shot’s taken, giving you time to lower your wrist and raise your eyes when you’re in the shot.

To function as a camera remote, your AppleWatch needs to be within normal Bluetooth range of your iPhone (about 33 feet or 10 meters).

Siri: Say something like: “Take a picture.”
