  • Tom C. Caperton, age 68, died on Monday, April 16, 2018. Tom was born on June 2, 1949 in Dallas, Texas to Billy Caperton and Wanda (Crouch) Caperton. He was a proud Eagle Scout. After graduation from South Oak Cliff High School, he served his country as a Sergeant in the US Army Military Police. In 1972, he joined the Irving Police Department and rose to the rank of Captain; while there, he earned his bachelor’s and masters’ degrees from ACU Dallas. He then went on to serve as Chief of the Grapevine Police Department. He was president of Caperton Enterprises. Tom was chairman of the La Cima Board of Governors and served as treasurer of the Entertainment Series of Irving. He was an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America. Tom is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are wife Patty Landers Caperton; son Tim Caperton and wife Pam; daughter Dr. Jennifer Caperton; brother Wes Caperton and wife Janice; grandson Collins Caperton; four nephews and their families; numerous cousins and other family and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 7:00 –9:00 PM at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75061. Edel was survived by his wife Joy Darlene Cheatham Bonneau and two sons, Ronnie and Randy. He was born in Dodson, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Van Bonneau and mother, Mattie Erma Jameson Bonneau. Edel constantly dreamed of earlier days hunting on the old family farmstead in Dodson.   • Russell Howard Harris, age 88, of McKinney, TX, passed away February 1, 2007 at his home. He was born April 22, 1918, in Crawford, Nebraska to Charles Si and Lottie (Dodd) Harris. On February 22, 1948 he married Anna MaRee Able in Crawford, Nebraska. Mr. Harris served his country in the US Army for twenty-two years which included service in World War II and Korea. He was active in the Men’s Life group and The TLC bible study group at Farmers Branch Church of Christ where he was a member. He is survived by his son Si and his wife Patricia of Savannah, TX; daughters Calla Davis and her husband Robert of Farmers Branch, TX and Toni MaRee of McKinney; grandchildren Jeff, Brian and Neal Davis, Scott and Patrick Harris, and Jennifer Harris-Dodson; seven great-grandchildren; sister Faye Harris of Tacoma, Washington; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his wife Anna; and brother Jack.
