Ingredients

  • store-bought donut holes
  • Nutella or chocolate frosting
  • fall sprinkles
  • stick pretzels broken in halves

Instructions

  • Dump fall sprinkles in a small bowl (I mixed two types of sprinkles together). Lay down wax paper in preparation for assembly of the acorns.

  • Melted Nutella or chocolate frosting in the microwave in a deep, small bowl about 15-20 seconds or until just melted. Dip each donut hole halfway into Nutella/frosting, then dip in sprinkles. Place a stick pretzel, broken in half, into the top of the "acorn" and let cool on wax paper.

These are awesome! My daughters class is doing a Thanksgiving Brunch before break and these are going to fit the Menu perfectly! How long do you think the donuts will stay fresh after assembled? Trying to decide if I can make them the night before or that morning I am taking them into her class? Thanks!

I love this idea! My sister-in-law makes Thanksgiving every year and I’d love to make these and bring them for dessert. Will I be able to put a bunch of them in a cake box or do they need to be served/stored in a single layer? I can’t wait to do this. They are going to be such a hit!

Great question! I would keep them in a single layer to avoid any frosting getting on the other “acorns.” 🙂
