Complete Build Guide for Warpath Void Knight - the pinnacle of spin-to-win in Last Epoch
Build notes: |
February 25, 2024 -Updated for Patch 1.0 |
Build Overview
Void Knight is a staple Class forMelee Void Damage dealers. With the right gear and passives, it can extract the maximum potential out of Warpath Skill, which has gone through a drastic change recently. The build deals a lot of Void Damage on hit and applies various debuffs to enemies associated with the Time Rot Ailment. It allows you to nearly endless channel Warpath thanks to the reduced Mana cost and low Mana Cost of supporting abilities (or well, at least you don't need to recast them too often).
The following setup is a result of thorough testing of various Warpath setups, and it by far outperformed the other ones' (which included standard Physical/Fire/Crit Warpath Forge Guard, Ignite Warpath Forge Guard, and Bleed Warpath Paladin) offering the best DPS without having to run into nearly impossible to resolve Mana-management issues.

Passive Skill Trees
![]() Sentinel Skill Tree (30 Points) |
In our recommended setup we have decided to go for the Retribution branch which adds some extra damage as you are going to be hit constantly. Optionally you can also pick Valiant Charge and Relentless (or theFearlessfor more durability). Valiant Charge is heavily recommended if you are more reliant on Volatile Reversal to recover Mana.Strength increases your Warpath damage so it is recommended to pick Juggernaut.Armour Cladis the single most important passivedue to the Damage Reduction offered. |
![]() Paladin Tree (15 Points) |
You need 15 Points in the Paladin Tree Tree to unlock Sigils of Hope. If for any reason you decide not to use that ability, you could as well skip this Tree entirely, but we've decided to go for the Defiance andPhoenix Strike. These are the only useful passives. Keep in mind that Ignite Chance will be later transformed intothe chance to inflict Time Rot via other Passives. |
![]() Void Knight Tree (68 Points) |
This Void Knight Tree consists mainly of DPS-oriented Passives, which are abundant here. We have selected ones with the most impact on your damage, but if for any reason you would prefer to for example skip the Paladin Tree, you could allocate extra Points in Passives like Woe, Dread, or Finality. You can also get extra Leech from World Eater depending on how much you already got on your gear. Remember that the character will deal Void and Physical Damage via a two-handed weapon. Time Rot is an ailment associated with Void Damage, it is gained here by Rot Gripand Time Legion. |
Note: Left-Clicking on any of the ability trees below will open the full-size version in a new window.
Warpath- Warpath is a ChanneledMovement Attack that scales its damage with Strength. On its own, it's mechanically an easy-to-grasp Skill that makes you swirl dealing damage to nearby enemies. Our recommended setup relies on limiting the channeling cost via Passives like Unchained and Reckless Spinwhile increasing damage via effects on the Time Rot Branch. Apocalypse Whirl will convert the chance to Igniteto apply to Time Rot instead, allowing you to nearly instantly apply all 12 Stacks. With the Maw of the Deep, this results in basically permanent 180% increased Warpath Damage, making it the most efficient setup for this skill. |
Volatile Reversal- This skill returns your character to the location from several seconds ago. It is mainly used to apply powerful debuffs to enemies via Harbinger of Dust, and also increases your Global Attack Speed and Movement Speed based on the "distance" traveled. For Warped Time and Catching Up Passives to have maximum effect, it's best to increase the Reversal Time to a maximum via Ancient Reversal. Volatile Reversal for the most part will help you recover your Mana. It's common practice to summon your maximum number of Sigils of Hope, and then revert back time to get your Mana back and proceed to the Boss (or any other enemy waiting to get obliterated). It's best to be used basically out of cooldown unless you are looking to clear regular Maps faster, and don't want to get constantly pushed back. |
Lunge- a simple dash skill that allows you to instantly teleport to an enemy and have some more or less relevant effects on it. For the most part, you are going to use it to get in Melee Range faster, kill enemies below 15% Health instantly via Cull the Weak Passive, get extra healing from Dawn Charge while Lunging, and become invulnerable when you do so via Unstoppable Passive. The last part can be very useful during some end-game Boss fights, for example, you can use Lunge to avoid Julra's Puddles and jump to her instantly when she casts it. |
Sigils of Hope- A duration Spell that allows you to summon several Sigils that will orbit your character, offering extra healing and additional Fire Damage. Here it will only add Armour and increaseVoid Damage. It adds Void Damage via Decree of Flame and Sigils of Despair Passives instead of Fire Damage. While completing Monoliths, you should easily summon them automatically via Last Wish Passive, but against Bosses, it gets a bit tricky. It's best to summon them all before you start the fight, use Volatile Reversal to get the Mana back, and proceed to fight the Boss. During the fight whether you can resummon them or not will heavily depend on your Mana and Mana-management experience. |
Anomaly- Yet another ability that fits perfectly into every time traveler's arsenal - it sends enemies five seconds into the future. We have decided to simplify things a little bit and decided to have all its effects applied instantly via Immediacy. It will also apply a powerful debuff to affected enemies with Mark of Rot, increasing Void Damage taken by 100%. It's also used to create a Time Bubble that increases your Attack Speed and Critical Strike Chance. With Passives like Temporal Mastery and Lingering Memory, those effects will have a significantly longer duration |
Items
Stat priority: This build is heavily DPS-oriented so after you cap your Resistances and reach around2500 Health, you should focus only on increasing your Melee Void DPS. Either try getting added flat Void Damage which will also boost your Movement Speed, or Attack Speed and Melee/Void Damage Multipliers. Critical Strike Chance can also be used, but in most cases, this will require a lot of investment in gear to work efficiently. It's also crucial to get reduced Channel Cost on Helmet, and possibly All Resistances While Channelling mod on your Relic. On your Rare Items, you should also look for increases to the Level of Warpath as the Chest slot prefix, and possiblyCritical Strike Chance on both Gloves, Amulet, and the Helmet slot. On the rest of your gear, you can simply seek the basic damage and defensive modifiers from the list.

Recommended Unique Items:
Siphon of Anguish - This ring has a very important defensive aspect - allowing you to Leech more and faster from your Void and Melee Damage, as well as offensive - your Movespeed is increased and you can apply Doom effect on hit with increased effect. Doom deals Void Damage over Time. It is also a very common drop, making it quite easy to find one with extra Legendary Potential.
Wing Guards - A heavily offensive-oriented pair of gloves that grants you Haste (+30% increased Movespeed) and40% increased melee attack speed as well as some minor defensive stats. The Drawback is not being able to deal Critical Strikes which kind of limits your end-game potential, but makes it one of the best pairs for the leveling/gearing phases of the game.
Darkstride - Use Darkstride for increased Void Damage,Increased Movespeed, and+1 Charge for Void Cleave. This pair of boots is a huge damage increase and with all the Passives/Gear, it offers simply insane bonus mobility.
Titan Heart- this piece offers simply insane Health and Melee Damage bonuses. Also, the 15% Damage Reduction is amazing. However, it disables your Health Regeneration, so you will be left with Leech "only".
Apathy's Maw- the best in slot weapon. Adds tons of Melee Void Damage, and up to 100% increased Leech Rate. It also grants you the chance to apply Doom on Hit and increases its' effectiveness.
Shattered Chains- this rare Orobyss drop is the best-in-slot item as well. It offers very high Void Damage bonuses. It also grants Stun immunity after you use a Potion which can be a deadly status effect otherwise.
Throne of Ambition- it is one of the best Idols in the entire game. You should be easily able to reach the 20 Stacks while playing a Warpath character, so thebonus Armor alone makes it incredibly powerful against Bosses. | ||||||||||||||
Idols: Besides the already-mentioned Throne of Ambition, your other idols can get you more damage or defenses. You can use one or two Adorned Idols (2x2) for increased Melee Damage after echoing, and Grand Solar Idols (3x1) for increased Melee Void Damage and Warpath area. On the smaller pebbles, you can get more Health or Critical Strike Chance. Recommended mods:

We didn't have much time for testing, but this build already shows a lot of promise and outperforms many other End Game setups.Obviously, as the game gets new content updates, we will be updating this guide regularly, though it may be impossible to be done after each Patch.
